This five day devotional will be taking a deeper dive into the sermon from Sunday, September 6, 2026. Day 1
Psalm 122:1
The heart of today's devotional lies in the joy of gathering. David's rejoicing began not when he reached the house of the Lord, but when the call to gather was announced. This joy arises from the anticipation of community with fellow believers. In today's world, where digital interaction does not fulfill the inherent need for genuine connection, the physical congregation of believers is a precious gift.

Just as David marveled at the unity within Jerusalem's gates, we are called to embrace the diverse yet united body of believers as a gift from God.

It reminds us that we are a part of something larger than ourselves—a living, breathing body that supports one another and is bound in love. The beauty of our Christian community is seen when each person embraces their distinct role. Like pieces of a puzzle, each member complements the body, working together harmoniously to reflect Christ's love in a myriad of ways. Let us cherish our individuality as well as our collective strength and lean into the diversity God has wonderfully orchestrated.

This house, our church, is not defined by its walls but by the living bricks of its people.
