God Wastes Nothing
5 Day Devotional
This five-day devotional will be taking a deeper dive into the sermon from Sunday, June 7, 2026. Join us as we explore how God wastes nothing—not even the fractures in our lives—and what this means for our relationships and personal growth.
Day 1
Acts 15:36–41
In our lives, we often encounter moments of fracture and separation. As we reflect on the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas, we see how God works through our differences and disagreements. Their separation was painful, yet it led to multiplication and growth in the mission of spreading the gospel. Today, ponder how God can use the fractures in your relationships to multiply His work in and through you.
Consider how disagreements might not always be a failure but an opportunity for God to reveal His plans for us. Just as Barnabas gave Mark a second chance, we can also extend grace and recognize potential in those around us. Trust that God is always weaving these moments into a greater story of redemption.
How have past disagreements affected you or your ministry?
Can you think of a time when a fracture led to growth or a new opportunity?
How does this story change how you view conflicts in your own life?
Pray for the people with whom you've had disagreements, asking God for healing and understanding.
Ask God to reveal any new opportunities born out of past relational fractures.
Day 2
2 Timothy 4:11
Today's scripture captures a significant transformation. The man Paul once saw as a failure, Mark, later became invaluable to his ministry. Through years of separation, Mark's growth and maturing faith allowed him to become a key figure in the early Christian church. This day reminds us that our perceived failures do not define our future but can be stepping stones toward God's purpose for us.
Reflect on how time and growth can change perspectives. What once seemed like an ending could very well become a new beginning. Recognize that God can work within distance and silence, using time to heal and transform individuals for His glory and purpose.
In what areas of your life do you feel like you have failed?
How can you trust God's timing in healing relationships or personal growth?
Who in your life can serve as a Mark—someone whose potential is yet to be fully realized?
Pray for patience and trust in God's transformation in your life.
Request guidance in seeing others through God’s eyes, recognizing potential and possibility.
Day 3
Colossians 4:10
Life-giving relationships are not those without conflict, but those where both parties choose to see beyond the fracture. Paul’s eventual commendation of Mark teaches us that God’s work is often done in the midst of relational challenges. The ability to forgive and extend grace reflects the life of Jesus Himself and His approach toward humanity.
Consider how welcoming others, even after past conflicts, can be a powerful testimony of God’s redeeming love. Relationships restored through grace speak volumes about the transformative power of the gospel. Apprehend how God’s love enables us to foster connections that heal and prosper despite previous fractures.
What steps can you take to actively foster reconciliation in your relationships?
How does offering forgiveness reflect Christ’s love to others?
Can you identify a relationship where God is urging you to extend grace?
Pray for the strength to offer forgiveness where it is needed.
Seek God’s help in creating life-giving relationships through His guidance.
Day 4
Psalm 1:3
Psalm 1:3 speaks of a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season. This imagery reminds us that deeply rooted relationships can withstand adversities and continue to bear fruit. Firm roots in God's word and community are the foundation of sustaining and life-giving relationships.
Through the example of Paul and Barnabas, we learn that even when distance comes into a relationship, the roots of shared faith and purpose can remain strong. Let’s focus on strengthening our spiritual roots today, trusting they will keep us steady in stormy seasons.
What roots do you have in your life that anchor you in God’s word?
How can your relationship with God influence your earthly relationships?
In what ways can you deepen your spiritual roots to sustain your relationships?
Pray for God's wisdom in cultivating relationships that are life-giving and lasting.
Request a deeper understanding of His Word to fortify your spiritual foundation.
Day 5
Romans 8:28
As we conclude this devotional, Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works everything out for good. Even the broken pieces of our lives are used by Him for glorious purposes. This truth reassures us that no fracture is wasted in God’s economy—it’s an opportunity for redemption and growth.
Embrace the belief that your story is still being written by the God who mends and multiplies. Ending this devotional, let us carry the hope that reconciliation and restoration are always within reach because God is continually working behind the scenes to weave a masterpiece for your life.
How does knowing that God wastes nothing impact your view on current challenges?
What areas in your life need the reminder of Romans 8:28 today?
How can you actively seek God’s purpose in the fractures you experience?
Pray with gratitude that God is continuously weaving all parts of your story for good.
Request courage and hope to see His promises in life’s challenges.
