Easter at United Church - Atlanta, GA

If it didn’t happen, Christianity collapses. If it did, nothing matters more.

Dead people don’t rise. So why believe this? Easter isn’t about tradition. It’s about a claim. A dead man walked out of a grave. If that didn’t happen, faith is wishful thinking. If it did, history changed.

This Easter, we’re asking the question many people are already thinking: Why bother with the resurrection? Whether you’re skeptical, curious, returning to church, or just exploring — you are welcome here.

For the Skeptic

You’re not alone. Many people have questions about faith.

About church. About the Bible. About whether the resurrection is even logical.

We believe questions are not threats. They’re invitations.

Easter at United is not for the convinced.

It’s for the curious.

Still not sure what you believe?

Good Friday

Friday, April 3, 2026 | 7PM

On April 3, we’re hosting a special evening to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross before we celebrate the joy of His resurrection. Come take time to be still, remember the cross, and prepare your heart for the hope and celebration of Easter.

Convoy of Hope - One Day to Feed the World

This Easter, we’re partnering with Convoy of Hope’s One Day to Feed the World initiative, a global movement to put an end to hunger and bring hope to people in need around the world. Instead of giving out of obligation, we’re inviting you to participate in equal sacrifice: giving the value of one day’s wage to help feed children, families, and communities who are facing food insecurity.

When we give together on Easter Sunday, our generosity helps provide nutritious meals, clean water, education opportunities, and life-changing support in places where poverty and hunger are most severe. Your one day of giving can truly transform someone’s every day.

This isn’t a one-day event.

Easter is the beginning of a conversation.

After Easter, we continue our series “Why Bother?” — exploring real questions about faith, surrender, and purpose.

If you’ve ever wondered whether Christianity is worth it, this series is for you.

We’re just getting started.

Before You Arrive

  • When you arrive, our parking team will help guide you to an open spot in our parking lot. We have plenty of parking available, including designated parking for first-time guests, families with young children, and accessible parking.

  • Yes! Our United Kids Ministry is a fun, safe environment designed for your child’s age, with trained team members and background-checked volunteers. We also offer Haven, our ministry that supports families impacted by disabilities so every child can participate and feel cared for.

  • Come as you are. Some people dress up for Easter, others come casual. You’ll see everything from jeans to dresses. What matters most is that you feel comfortable.

  • Our Ushers will help you find a seat in our sanctuary, but feel free to sit wherever you’re most comfortable. If you have a baby or a stroller with you, we recommend sitting toward the back of the sanctuary for a little extra space and easy access if you need to step out.

  • Our music is modern, engaging, and Jesus-centered. Expect a live band leading songs that are uplifting and meaningful, whether you’re familiar with church music or not.

  • Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection when Christians believe Jesus defeated death and made a way for new life. It’s ultimately a story of hope, redemption, and fresh starts.

  • Our Senior Pastor, Pastor Léonce, will be kicking off our brand-new series Why Bother? with a message exploring the question many people are already asking: Why bother believing in the resurrection?

  • Easter invites you to consider a bold claim, that if the resurrection of Jesus happened, it changes everything. It’s not just about tradition; it’s about hope, purpose, and what really matters in life.

We’re kicking off a brand-new series on Easter Sunday called Why Bother? where you’ll hear a message that challenges your thinking, inspires curiosity, and leaves you encouraged, with a fresh perspective on life and faith, no matter where you’re starting from.

  • A welcoming environment, friendly people, uplifting worship, and a clear, honest message. The service typically lasts about an hour and 15 minutes, and you'll have an opportunity to connect with Pastor Leonce and Breanna after service if you’d like.

  • No problem. You’re welcome any Sunday. Easter may be a special day, but our doors are open every week and we’d love to have you join us whenever you can.
